breathtaking, did you ever make the silk version? Gallant effort for your first dress, the colour is divine ;-))

There is a lesson here! No zipper, no hem, fabric content unknown…and the most amazing dress! I think your “less is more” attitude is the way to go. A beautiful fashion photo!

WoW! You look stunning, and the dress looks really expensive. It’s a shame I’m too old for a look like that. You are gonna turn some heads when in that one girl :-)

Is your chosen fabric a knit or woven? If its a knit, gently press up your hem allowance. You may or may not want to interface the hem using a stretch interfacing, fusible. You can either finish the hem allowance by using a twin needle topstitch, no need to finish the edge of the pressed up hem. Or, secondly, a blind hemmer, with tension adjusted, can do an admirable job on finishing that hem.

It’s so beautiful! Really elegant, and those wrinkles on the neckline makes it so… Perfect!

Gorgeous! I LOVE the pleating at the neckline. That is a great way to pull in the fullness from the bust. I might just try that on my next project. Thanks!
