A Beautiful black double knit in a simple, mod style designed by Larry Aldrich. I photoshoped with high saturation in these photos so you can see the detail, so the color might look a little dull. It gathers at the collar, and like my previous post, the interfacing made bit of astronaut collar. But once I got the bow it actually resembled the drawn design (when does that happen?). Decided to take a few pictures in the sewing room where I work. More at my blog Vintage Bobbin

Double knits! Great for structured dress patterns such as yours. That neckline detail could be done in a variety of ways. I love it. Since it calls attention to the face, it definitely demands great make up and hair.

I know what you mean! I think this is the first handmade dress I have ever seen that matches the drawing on the pattern cover! Probably a lot to do with your fitting skills and lovely choice of fabric! Well done. Its lovely :-)
