Burda Style For people who sew
Description
When I patterned this dress I had the grey and white stripe silk in mind. Loving a good ol’ chevron, I am really happy with the outcome. The neckline is faced with a conrasting raw silk fabric in my favorite color-PUCE! Oh, and I have also done it in navy silk, which is a lot harder to see detail, but I wore it to a dinner and it was a smashing success!

Hold your horses, (in this case quite literally) this is a show-stopper. So many lovely things happening here. The chevrons lining up so perfectly and yet off center and a yellow/green color peeking under all that loveliness in collar. One of the best I’ve seen all year.

since i know you, and i like you… we need to talk trades…. this could be my first ‘grading’ experience if you want, but i no long have any of this fabric so it would have to be different. what do you want more, this dress or the cape?

Both dresses are lovely, but the striped one ROCKS! I love everything about it – the fish-bone effect, the ruffled collar, the asymmetric detail on front, and the tie! BRAVO!
