Cap sleeved dress with gathered skirt. Please note: This dress contains only the pattern for the bodice— you make the skirt yourself. The skirt is made from 2 rectangles which are gathered and attached to the bodice. Following the measurements in the instructions and draft your 2 rectangles on pattern paper.

Does anyone know how much fabric I need to make this? I bought the pattern but can’t seem to find that info anywhere!

Hi! In the beginning it says to trace patters from the pattern sheet… but the download PDF doesn’t include a pattern sheet. Where can I find this?

Hello,
The pattern pdf. that you purchase and download is the pattern sheet. If you haven’t purchased the pattern, you can do so by clicking the “add to cart” button located higher up to the right on this page. If you have already purchased the pattern, you can find the link to download the pattern pdf. in your account under “purchase history”

This pattern is just the perfect dress bodice pattern (at least for me, absolutely no fitting issues whatsoever) and so versatile as the skirt is easily altered.

Worth noting: This pattern does NOT include seam allowances and the sizes are 36, 38, 40, 42, and 44. This information is missing on the pattern and from the instructions. Pro-tip – write this information down as on the pattern and instructions as soon as you print them out.

Thanks for this… you really helped demystify why my bodice was so darn BIG on my mock up! :)

I loved this pattern and will definitely be making more! Only fitting issues I’ll incorporate next time would be to take a little bit out of the center front and center back at the top, as it sags a tiny bit. Also, depending on the type of fabric, I might use a smaller rectangle and to prevent poofing at the gathers, but in the fabric I used, it was fine!
