The print out at home pattern pieces I got were for a different coat! Waste of money!

This is the most ridiculously difficult pattern. My last project was the ankle length double breasted coat and I’ve sewn for nearly 50 years, so it’s not as if I don’t know what I’m doing. The instructions are poor, the construction is unnecessarily complicated and it very well might be the last Burdastyle pattern I purchase. This was an enormous waste of my time and money. I wouldn’t bother with it.

I absolutely love this but London ( England) has already started to get cold. Could anyone recommend any heavier fabrics I could use? Thanks!

Good pure wool or cashmere come in lighter weights and it is lined which should help to keep you warm.
