Hello Members!
I was wondering how many of our members are going to the Stitchery Expo in Puyallup WA Feb. 25th – 28th? I would love to hear about your plans. Where are you staying? What classes are you taking? How are you getting there or do you live nearby?
The Sewing and Stitchery Expo is the largest, most comprehensive consumer education and trade event for the sewing industry in the United States! Burdastyle will be there again this year and would love for you to stop by and chat.

Hi There,
I will be going! :) I adore going to the Expo! This will be my fourth time attending and I love it. I appreciate being able to take all the classes I can. I book myself quite full for the event. The garment sewing aspect of this Expo is outstanding. Having access to these wonderful instructors and all the great tools of the trade is exceptional.
Being able to see all the independent pattern makers is inspiring. All the lovely new and old product available for purchase is a dream! :)
I will be flying down there, as I live in Alberta, Canada. I will be staying with my sister, Cathy, who is part of our group for the Pink & Red Charity event historical garments.
I don’t remember all the classes I am signed up for, but let’s just say, MANY!!!!
Were you there last year? I remember meeting two of the young ladies from your booth last year. I wasn’t so keen on the e-patterns, but I am getting a bit warmed up to them. I have now downloaded a few and have printed off two, I think. I hope to attempt them, after Sew Expo. I’m still trying to recover from all that sewing for the Pink & Red event, which was fun, just time consuming. My sewing room needs attention, badly.

Awesome! It really sounds like a great time!
I was not there last year, but I can’t remember who went last year. It may have been Nora and Benedikta. Now Alden will be there this year.
Come back and let me know how much fun you had!

I work for a sewing machine manufacturer so I’ll be there for the full run. I had a great time working there last year, so many ideas and great shopping! Now I’ll have to remember to pack my black and white polka-dot “JJ” blouse so that I can wear it when I stop by the booth to say hi!:)

I cant wait to go. I received my seminar sign up sheet earlier than expected this year so I sent it back in the mail same day I got it and finally after 3 years I got all the seminars I signed up for. I live locally in Redmond so I am going for 2 days this year so I can take advantage of the seminars. I am also looking forward to going to the NW Fabric Trade Expo on March 5&6 being held here in the Seattle area as well. All the fabric distributors and designers will be there. I just love vendors.

I’ll be there on Saturday. I’ve lived in Seattle for many years, but this will be my first time at Sew Expo! I’m not taking any classes, just going to meet up with various friends and soak up the atmosphere :) I’ll stop by the Betzina/BurdaStyle booth in the afternoon.

I had a blast meeting the gals from BurdaStyle. If I weren’t working, I would have taken some of the great classes offered and watched the fashion show!

Seems like a good time working or not! I can see your disappointment in not being able to take some of the classes. Maybe you will get a chance to take some classes next year. Happy sewing!
