Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any advice/experience on going from a scoop neck to a v-neck. I know its just a matter of altering the pattern but do any additional darts/pieces need to be cut out around the neck line in order to give you a clean look without any excess sagging/gaping/etc.?Thanks!

I would take a sccop neck pattern and lay it on some plain paper so that the pattern is on the fold of the fabric, Go down as far as you want on the paper and make a dot where the bottom of the V would be. Now take a ruler and draw lines to the neckline. You are now creating a new pattern piece. If you want to alter a ready made piece in your wardrobe, you need to create a new pattern piece for the scoop neck. I would try this out on scrap fabric first to see how it works. Good luck.
