My daughter wants to make a pair of trousers #123 from burda 6/11 but it’s a petite size, and she is tall, 174cm. Where do I lengthen the pattern for her, and by how much? Any ideas?

Hi Anne,
I would recommend lengthening at the high hip (slightly beneath the waist dart) and slightly beneath the knee cap if necessary. You can do this by drawing a line and slashing (cutting the pattern apart) and then inserting paper beneath, tape it, then redraw the inseam and side seam lines to blend with the original pattern.

Thanks, how much would you recommend adding? I was going to take a guess at 2cm in each place.
