Would anyone else who is old enough that you are frustrated by what is available in stores and are having trouble figuring out styles and fabrics that are best for you want to try a sew along? Since I have difficulty finding flattering clothes for someone my age (54) I want to sew more now. My thought is we could choose an item (skirt dress top etc) discuss what might be stylish and flattering for an older woman including if we have seen anything in mags or media that we think would work for us. Then go for it and share results. I have the same machine that my parents gave me brand new 40 years ago and my level is intermediate.
ps I enjoy seeing all the lovely clothes made by the many talented young women here. I find their talent and creativity inspiring. Unfortunately much of the actual clothing doesn’t translate to me anymore, sigh.
