I thought the contest submission date was 12 march 2012. so why are you dates different and also, it did say that it has to be submitted in our projects with the phrase “Vintage Modern Design Challenge” in project title.

Your rules add confusion and also even though I am the author of the project, I tried ticking on existing project as its Indygo Junction stuff, but the facility is giving me the run around ….so how do I deal with that David…I am a London Based Member?

Thanks (p.s in the credits I did credit Indygo + Amy Barickman + Burdastyle) with weblinks.

      Hi Floreedith,

The contest began on January 2nd, and the submission deadline for it is March 12th. The selection process to determine the winners will be held on the week of March 26th.

Yes, you must add the phrase “Vintage Modern Design Challenge” in your project title. We required this because this allows for us to easily determine which projects are submissions to the contest among the other projects seen on the site. Although this was announced in the blog article announcing the contest, I have added it to these rules, as well, for further clarification.

Can you tell me where else you find confusion?

In order to edit an existing project, go to its project page and select the “Edit” button, from there you can edit the title to include “Vintage Modern Design Challenge.”

      Thank you,

Someone mentioned on another post about this contest that the rules here answer the question of whether multiple entries are allowed. The only mention I can find of multiple entries, though, only says that automated multiple entries aren’t allowed.

Am I just totally failing to find the section of the rules that says whether we can (non-automatedly ;)) submit more than one entry to the contest? If so, please point me toward the info, and thanks in advance for remedying my cluelessness!

      Hi jeweleddragon,

The contest rules do not restrict you from submitting more than entry, provided that it is not an automated entry.

You are allowed to submit more than one entry.

You enter the creation as a photo on the site. You will need to upload it as a project within your BurdaStyle profile.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Hi—working on my contest submission and when the picture uploads it cuts off the bottom half of the garment no matter how small or large the picture. Any hints on how to avoid this. Right now I submitted a picture of the top half and bottom half of the garment. It seems to crop automatically unfortunately. Thanks for any help!

Please make sure that your images are at least 615 pixels wide. I would also recommend that they are no longer than 650 pixels in length.

Hi I am asking clarification again on the entry. In the above post for challenge rules, it stays title must have "VintageModern Design Challenge) with VintageModern one word. However, in the comments section several people stated it must say “Vintage Modern Design Challenge” which is correct or will you take both? Since there are several who have already uploaded with title “VintageModern Design Challenge” instead of "Vintage Modern Design Challenge?

You can title it either “Vintage Modern Design Challenge” or “VintageModern Design Challenge.” Both will be valid.

I added my entry to my studio yesterday but it has not been included in the contest. Is that because it said Vintage Modern instead of VintageModern? I edited the title but I’m concerned it won’t be added before the Mar. 12 deadline.

      Hi Traci,

We will accept projects that either have “Vintage Modern” or “VintageModern” in its title. If your project includes this, then it is definitely included in the contest.
