Yes this has happened to a few of mine as well from today. Do we have to upload them again or will this be fixed?

Happened to me too! And all pictures on my newest project (loose drape dress) are gone now.

Random pix on the listing page of mine have ‘gone’, but when I click on the project, the pix all seem to come up. Seems that the pix are still there somewhere, so I’m inclined to give it a day or two and see if it’s resolved without resorting to complaints…

i contacted sew4my3 (one of the burda crew) and told her about our problem. she forwarded it to the technical team and i hope everything is solved soon (and that it does not take weeks again, like the last time………..)

Only can see 3 out of 66 of my pics……..UGH!!!! Hope they get it fixed soon!! Will wait to post anything else until it is fixed. I love seeing what everyone creates on here and it is a shame that the site has so many problems lately.

Hey, you can’t go messing with both Ralf’s and Don’s pictures. Not only are they part of my rare male peers here, I also happen to love their work. So, in an attempt to speed up the recovery of this problem, here’s some geeky input:
It seems that only the thumbnails are broken, the actual pictures look fine (at least in the projects of Don I checked). So, let’s have a look shall we. The images are hosted on cloudfront, that’s Amazon’s CDN (content delivery network). The error returned is this:
NoSuchKey The specified key does not exist. project_images/assets/000/163/628/Linen_shirt_and_drop-crotch_track_pants_by_urbandon_4__listing.JPG 3419E9670E5F5CB5 mj+U9W0hGanXWUF/QTdQs8TBMfjjmnHGj6ASyh6MYFeHGd+lMac46BwKpEIvRvhlIt’s basically a ‘file not found’ error.
The URL for the thumbnail that doesn’t work is very similar to the one that does work (of the large image):
http://assets.burdastyle.com/project_images/assets/000/163/628/Linen_shirt_and_drop-crotch_track_pants_by_urbandon_4__large.jpg?1293778066 http://assets.burdastyle.com/project_images/assets/000/163/628/Linen_shirt_and_drop-crotch_track_pants_by_urbandon_4__listing.JPG?1293778066
Notice any difference? I sure do, the thumbnail image has an extention in uppercase (.JPG) whereas the full image has a lowercase extention (.jpg).
Now on Microsoft Windows .jpg and .JPG are the same thing. Not so on Unix based systems and you can bet your ass that Amazon’s cloud does not run on Windows.
Long story short: Dear Burda webmaster, can you please make sure that the links to the thumbnail images use a normal extention and not uppercase. Because this may be broken: http://assets.burdastyle.com/project_images/assets/000/163/628/Linen_shirt_and_drop-crotch_track_pants_by_urbandon_4__listing.JPG?1293778066
But this is not: http://assets.burdastyle.com/project_images/assets/000/163/628/Linen_shirt_and_drop-crotch_track_pants_by_urbandon_4__listing.jpg?1293778066
You would do my friends of the brotherhood of Burdastyle a big favor :)

I am now suffering from GIN! ;)
This is a great reply for the geek-minded. Hope the powers that be act on it.
Good to see more lads at the sewing table, too.

GIN? [scratches head]
I don’t know if I’m not geek enough or too geeky to get that.

Thank you for investigating Joost. I’ll make sure our technical team sees your comment!

Joost, it stands for Geek Induced Narcolepsy! :D :D :D
I live with a computer nerd and have lots of geeky friends. I’m a sewing machine geek rather than a computer geek…

Hey guys,
As always, thank you for reporting this. We deployed part one of some site fixes on Monday morning, specifically aimed at images. Part two of the deploy is happening Friday morning at 8AM EST, the site will be in maintenance mode for about an hour.
If the issue was caused by the deployment on Monday, everything should be back to normal by Friday.
As a reminder, the most direct way to report bugs and technical issues is on our Customer Support page.
