This is my first video in this new series featuring the Singer Pro Finish Serger. Serger Basics: Video Part 1 ,shows how to thread the machine, including both needles and both the upper and lower loopers. How to set the machine up to sew the Four-Thread Ultra-Stretch Mock Safety Stitch. This stitch is the most commonly used stitch when sewing with knits. How to change the needles and how to adjust the stitch length. Please make sure to read my blog for more pics and information about threading. Thanks!

I have a couple of questions. I was reading my Manual for the Singer ProFinish Serger it says to thread lower looper first? I watched the videos here and noticed the UL was threaded first then LL LN RN. My second question. The cutting width. I think for me as a beginner it would of been better had they of designed it differently. I know how to move the screw to adjust it. My question although may sound dumb where do I place fabric as far as a guide. It was a gift or I would exchange for one that had guide markings. I didn’t know if I butted against the cutter/metal bar or edge of machine. Any help would be appreciated
