    Thank you so much for the tutorial! I’ve been needing to learn how to apply the patches and make it look like there really isn’t a patch there. I have 3 little boys and a very active husband so you can imagine how many good looking slacks/ pants I’ve painstakingly tossed because I thought they were irreparable! Thanks a bunch!

      I learned years ago. Mom got tired of mending my little brother’s jeans (he regularly tore open the crotch climbing over fences in the barn). Mom started paying me to do them. Imagine! Getting paid to sit at the sewing machine !

    This is more fun when you use a contrasting fabric for the patches.

      I actually thought about adding some color, but I don’t think my hubby or son would appreciate that. They aren’t too happy even when the patches are from a very different color of denim. Too bad, really…
