This skirt is all about vintage! I made it from a pattern that I’d found at my Granny’s, a Burda 75045 from late 60s or early 70s I think? Also the wool that it is made of, a thick, double face kind, is vintage and thrifted from a local vendor. I had just enough for a simple skirt like this one (plus the heart-shaped patch pocket that is my personal touch) and it has immediatelly become a favorite! I seem to be able to wear it with anything these days, it fits within my wardrobe like a dream.

I finished the seams and the hem with bias binding, my favorite technique. There is just one pocket, the patch hear-shaped one. I decided not to go for in-seam pockets that I usually do because of the bulky material.

You can see more of this skirt on my blog here and here.
