In only two hours (yes, two hours!) I managed to add two more items to my ever increasing wardrobe.

As capes have made a come back (have they ever been out of fashion?) I decided to have one made of boiled wool and silk mix fabric. Light, warm, but not too warm.

As it is difficult to manage layers, both in terms of textures and colours, I chose to make my first layer – the base t-shirt – from 100% cotton jersey.

The top is made using the Burda style sparkle top. You can find the pattern here: http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/sparkle-top-122013 or, if you have collected the Burda style magazines, the pattern has been published in 12/2013 issue.

For the cape I used Vogue vintage 1950 original design V2934. Less the cuffs and lining.
