Desperately needing outerwear with pockets for treats and rain protection when walking my sweet pup, it was sweet serendipity to see this cute hoodie in Burda’s January 2017 issue. Afraid it might be too slim on me from the way it was styled in the magazine, I still made my standard size 38 and was thrilled to realize it is actually a boxy, oversized slouchy hoodie. Perfect! The diagonal design lines were accentuated by top-stitching, a step not included in the pattern instructions but one that really adds to the cuteness of the top. Metal eyelets were easy to install and add so much more to the overall ‘look’ to the top than maybe buttonholes or some other type of cording opening. More photos and info on the blog.
