I made this lovely blouse from McCalls 6650 pattern in silk charmeuse. I used view A with the long sleeves of view C. I used french seams throughout, even for the arm hole/sleeve seam (the first time for me doing a french seam in the armhole, but I will be doing this technique again for sure in the future). I made an extra button hole on the back neck placket, for extra support here, plus I love the vintage 1940’s German glass buttons I bought for this blouse at Button Emporium in Portland, Oregon. and I had an extra button. I love this pattern and style, however, it did gobble up a great deal of fabric, over 3 yards, as the neck tie piece is quite wide and long, and cut out twice on the bias. I love my new luxe blouse, and plan to make a nice skirt or two to wear with this.

Update: Threads Magazine (Tauton Press) asked to feature this very blouse, my blouse, on their monthly regular print magazine spread, “Insiders Closet” coming soon. Threads Magazine! Sorry Burda, gotta grab this one :)
