For the first month of the Burda Challenge 2018, I made a 60’s style cocoon coat and advertising print dress. I used Burda’s “Sixties Shift Dress” (#106, 7/2016) and a novelty print silk-cotton fabric for the dress, which is fully lined and accented with faux leather ‘necklace’ and piping along the seams. The cocoon coat is baby blue fleece, lined in matching blue flannel backed satin, and made using the “Long Coat” pattern (#104B, 12/2015). I absolutely love the fit and design lines of both of these pieces! They were time consuming to make but turned out very well.
