I made this dress a couple years ago when I was taking a clothing class in school. It had a pleated neckline, and I shortened it quite a lot from the pattern. The fabric is super soft, and I love it very much.
I used Vogue V8411. The V8 part always made me think of tomatoes, so there’s my explanation of the name…

    I’ve just cut this pattern out so v excited to see how lovely your dress turned out. Just out of interest does your moleskin have any stretch? I’ve cut out mine out in a v lightweight wool knit with a bit of stretch and am already fed up with pleats! I asked about the stretch as Im wondering how it would go in a woven. Great dress :)

    Love the dress. It even looks soft! Great job. I can see this style in a light drapey fabric without sleeves for summer. I’ll have to look for this pattern. Fun name too!
