Winter plaid skirt

I bought this wool remnant, not even a meter, back in December and decided to try this fun skirt pattern. As the wool is quite thick the flounce is a bit more rigid but I like it anyway because this skirt is really warm, perfect for our Canadian winters! I didn’t have enough fabric to even think about plaid matching and I had to cut the back pieces in the bias, not ideal but… I also used bias tape at the hem. This skirt is partially lined.

Super cute skirt! And I like the back the best too! Isn’t it funny how, when we may not have the perfect supplies, but instead use our creativity, those become the best garments! And that’s just what you have done here very, very well. Love it! :)

I love what you have done. Good use of all the fabric left. LOL P.s. If you CROP your pictures by maybe a 3rd, it should not distort when you post them. Happy sewing xx Frenchy

I actually think the bits on the bias are a nice “design feature” :) It’s a really nice skirt, I like it!
