White couture angel dress

I love all dresses in Burda magazine – 12/2013, and I think I will try all part terns. Or almost all of them.

My second favourite after the Princess dress has to be tho sone. I have departed from my resolution to wear tight fitted dresses, however the trend is now towards sculptural, straight lined dresses with a modern vibe.

The pattern reminds me a lot of the trend that Victoria Beckham started.

The dress is made following the pattern 129 in Burda 12/2013. It is lined in ivory silk satin and features side pockets and vintage pearlised blue beads.

The main feature of the dress is, however, the overstitching alongside the pitched lines. Symmetry and accuracy is a must!

Photographs were taken in Oxford town.

tres chic!!! are you wearing fishnet stockings or is it my imagination? I love the fabric – it looks just stiff enough for the structure of the pattern but comfortable to wear. I like your style.

I must get my daughter to take some pictures of me in my latest creations over the weekend …I have been busy at my machine but have failed to post anything for months!

Can’t wait to see your creations!! My husband is now fully trained on how to take the photos!!!! :-)) And yes, you are right, they are pastel blue fishnet tights. I am too white to show the bare legs. I am waiting for the sunshine!!

So smart you are! My husband is home sick today so I decided to put him to work. He takes better photos than my daughter without the complaining! I started posting projects today – taking a lunch break now…more to come.

The talent and time you put into this dress really shines through – like it’s just been taken straight out of a high-end fashion magazine! Beautiful job!

Thanks, Mary. Those pockets and the over stitching are quite time consuming!

Fabric is sort of one off, factory remnant. Our weather… well the nicest day if the year so far. 19 degrees after months and months of rain and floods!!
