White and black embellished evening dress.

Crawley, United ...

White and black A line evening dress, size 10. Here are the details about the materials I used:
Bodice: made of white taffeta, with straight neckline in front and deep neckline at the back.
Belt: made of black satin, with hand-embellished Miyuki glass beads and sequins.
Skirt part: made of fine stretch cotton, with handmade black organza flowers, stitched with Miyuki glass beads and sequins. The flowers are bigger at the hem and smaller toward the waistline.
The dress is fully lined with white and black anti-static lining and it has zip fastening at the back.

I used the Burda pattern, but I took out the sleeves and I made a lower back.

ps: I wish I would have nerves to do it. Btw, for how long were you making flowers?

Thank you :) I started making the flowers before cutting and sewing the dress, as it was the most nerv-challenging part :)) I think it took me 1 week for cutting and burning the edges, and about 3 weeks in sewing them by hand. So, yes, you are right, it was an effort, but I like spending time into something that you can’t find in a high street shop. That’s why I like this website :)
