Wedding Shower Lingerie

Added Jun 4, 2010

by caramia-made

British Columbia...

My friend is getting married this August so I made her this lingerie set for a shower gift. I hope she likes it!

I used the Jane pattern top in the same navy satin from my Run To The Hills dress. I didn’t have enough navy fabric to do matching bottoms so I had to use an ivory satin (unfortunately with much more shine to it). I used the very popular (and free!) Madeleine bloomers pattern from Colette, with navy ribbon to coordinate with the top. I also had some pretty, ivory decorative buttons that I added to the straps at the top. I only pinned the straps on since I’m not sure how long she will need them, but I can easily hand-sew them on after she tries it on.

Material Notes

Matte navy satin, shiny ivory satin, navy silk ribbon, ivory buttons

Garment Type
Bridal, Classic, Romantic, Victorian

I think I actually like the top and bottom in different colors. It looks beautiful and very luxurious.

These are so pretty and luxurious looking. I agree with the other posters, your friend is very lucky to be receiving these. I would say her husband-to-be, too ;-)
