Very Fitting Stripy Blazer

Added Feb 3, 2016

Here it is! On some reason I had some time to make the jacket matching the trousers from a previous project almost quickly:-) I wasn’t sure in the choice of the pattern at all and really just wanted to see what I would get. I like the result but with some notes: the jacket is really fitting and it is for warm seasons indeed and when wearing the jacket your bearing should be very straight all the time as if you are a ballet dancer or, at least, a gymanst:-) In fact, it is very good and useful but not very comfortable. The final look is nice. More photos and some tips for sewing are here

Material Notes

Stretch herringbone suiting (I guess cotton and viscose blend) for the jacket and viscose for the lining.

Spring, Summer
Garment Type
Business, Casual, Classic
Corduroy, Cotton, Blends, Denim, Knits/Jersey, Suiting

Looks wonderful on you, and the fit and styling is great. I enjoyed reading your write up. Sometimes I think we forget to stand up straight and tall, guess the undergarments of years gone by were not that bad an idea!

Thank you very much! I agree with you, straight back makes us look taller and even something speciall appeares in manners but how often after wearing such outfits I think how much I want to wear something really relaxing… for example, like your last pants.

Your blazer looks very good. I really like this pattern and glad to see it sewn. Too bad I don’t need blazers anymore…
