Urban Greek

Austin, Texas, U...

I work at a book store and we’re having a book release party in October for a series of books based on greek mythology. So I decided to be proactive and get this done early. Why can’t I be this way with everything? I drafted it myself, but it wasn’t too hard. The only annoying bit was the five billion pleats in the back (which I managed to forget to get a picture of, dang it). It’s super comfy and surprisingly warm (must be all the fabric).

Material Notes

Lavender athletic mesh, cream dance wear stuff

Garment Type
Bridal, Geek, Romantic
Polyester, Rayon

Very nicely done! I am wondering how it would look with a slightly longer front part….and have the option of a full cream colored under-skirt to make it into a formal. I think you’ve designed a VERY versatile garment there! Congratulations!

Fabulous look to this gown! It drapes so nicely – you did such a great job with the high/low front and the lovely gathers in the back. Congrats on creating this pattern yourself – wonderful!

Congratulations on a fine gown. I just cannot bring myself to call such a nice garment a dress. I do hope you will have time to assemble a pattern and instructions. Cordially, Nehmah
