Upcycled burda waist coat

Fraser Valley, C...

Waist coat 103 from April 2016. I took a rauana from moms closet and turned it into something more stream lined. I decided to keep the fringed and the original selvage to save time. Its warm and light weight. I plan to adapt the pattern for my mom. The original pattern won’t cover the edge to edge close. Its going to need a pattern modification.

I made this in a size 16 euro. That means I adjusted the bust inseam. Its puffy as it needs to be pressed. I dislike moving in a rush and have found the iron. Its going to be pressed soon. I like it and this will be a pattern for mom once I take those mods into account.I did add a pleat to the back for more ease. The idea is to layer over a sweater.

I like it! I don’t recycle as often as I would like and many times I feel bad about this!

Oh you should do an evening wear version. That’s fun! I was thinking of vintage lace maybe?
