Montucky, Montan...

This is a thrift store wool sweater that I washed and dryed on high heat a few times to “felt” it. I used a die cutter to make the flowers. Super simple.

Thank you all for your kind comments! I just bought a red sweater and am hoping I have enough red buttons to complete it.

its really cute and a great idea to try out this felting wool-knit (i mean on purpose, and not by shrinking your favorite cardigan to baby-size…;)9

The die cutter is a Big Shot by Sizzix. It is a beast! I can easily cut through 6 layers of fabric or 3 layers of thick felt. It will also cut through soda cans! I bought it for paper crafting, but find I use it more for vinyl and fabrics. You can cut bigger shapes with a quilters die cutter, but they are 3 times the price.
