Unusual Blouse With Lavallière - Remnants

I don’t usually wear wide tops. I don’t think it fits mi figure very well. But I wanted to make a “Lavallière” (bow collar), I liked this pattern (118 A actually, not B, but I didn’t find it on the website…), and I really wanted to give it a try! Also, I thought I could make a black pencil skirt later, and put the blouse inside at the waist.

And this fabric, well, it’s the leftovers of my Dentelle & Vichy dress

Anyway, I cropped it because it was too long, and I didn’t like it. Now it’s okay, it depends on how you look at it… I’m just not used to this style!

I’m pretty proud of my slit, it’s very well finished and I hand-topstitched it so it’s not visible.
I used my serger for the rolled hem, I love it ^^

I love the way you have contrasted the hem of the top by rotating the fabric, it’s a really nice detail.

It looks great! I think this style can look great with slim fitting pants, or ever capris, very Audrey Hepburn.
