Ty's Nautical Dress

Added May 12, 2016

This is the dress I sewed up for our Community Manager Ty for our Runway to Reality Look Book with Brother! Ty choose a look from the Tommy Hilfiger show to be inspired by, and I used our Shirt Dress pattern from 04/2010 to recreate this look for her.

It is always nice to sew for someone else, and for them to wear something that is truly unique and handmade with love. We both had a hard time finding fabric to compliment the runway look so we decided to get fabric printed from Spoonflower. Ty found this awesome nautical print and I had it transferred onto poly crepe de chine fabric to recreate the sheerness of the runway look. You can see how I altered this pattern here in my post, and then I explain how I sewed it together in the look book!

Material Notes

Poly crepe de chine, acetate lining
