Tunic top, airy, flowing, glamorous!

Year round tunic top. Looks great under a sweater with the tail and collar peaking out, as a beach coverup, over skinny jeans or bell bottoms. 3/4 length sleeve provides an opportunity to cook without complications while showing off a great bracelet! I hope to add a picture of myself wearing it soon!

the placket was tricky – I have made it several times – in the different versions – tried varying the seam allowance in that area, also taking deeper cuts to points, etc. In the end, it all looked the same – not quite perfect at the bottom of opening but the style is forgiving! We must remember to forgive ourselves too!

Added snap to the opening – for a bit more modesty.

McCalls #M6702 – Now that I have discovered Burda – I will change my pattern alliances!

Material Notes

light weight Italian Shirting, 100% cotton, with muted stripes in blues and greys – fabric ordered on line through Denver fabrics only about $4 per yard and 58" wide!

I like this style, cuffs production was also very beautiful.
