Description

Followed tutorial for here:
http://sugardale.blogspot.com/2008/08/how-to-make-petticoat.html

I made this to wear under some 1950s dresses and it makes the skirt puff out just a little, gives it a little more shape.

Recommend using stiffer material if you want it to puff out more.

Material Notes

Black Poly-Tulle, Black ribbon & Black Cotton poplin

Looks good! :) I’m getting mentally ready for my first petticoat. I think if you make two layers of the two bottom tiers, it should be more puffy. That’s my plan.

I’ve found that netting gives more volume also. You just have to put a slip or some strech shorts between your skin and the scratchy material.
