Tri-Color Blocked Dress

St. Louis, Misso...

This dress was a quick, satisfying, and fun project for me to make in one night. I used Burda Style pattern 108-02/2014, from pages 50 and 71 of the Spring 2014 US magazine. It went from the cutting stage to done and on myself in only 4 hours! I left out the two welt pockets. My dress is a great casual, lightweight summer dress that can also be worn in the winter with tights and a sweater. My dress’ fabric is a polyester ‘peach-skin feel’ satin, an exclusive “Hancock Fabrics” print, with a white poly pongee lining inside. I did find this dress to run a bit large from the waist up and had to take it in several inches. The large over cut sleeves are a nice, comfy touch to the design. For more pictures and construction info, please visit my blog page https://seamracer.wordpress.com/2014/08/28/summer-in-the-city-the-burda-style-way/ I’m hoping my dress has a flashback look of the 60’s/70’s!

Lovely dress, the fabric is great and the dress is Fab inside and out. It does have a vintage vibe to it and your blogs a good read x
