Don’t you just love fabric that had a name?? I do!! This fabric is called fireworks and it’s so lovely. I made this top out of fabric left over from two projects. I have made a dress with the firework fabric.which i’ll post at the week end. I looked for a cute top pattern and found this one. So guess what? I will be making a few more in different colourways lol. I downsized this by omitting the seam allowance and doing a larger seam.x

Material Notes

Ponte roma and spandex jersey

Simple things made of nice fabrics make the greatest impression:-) Firework fabric matches both for your pattern and for your character:-)))

Lol and thanks, congrats on coming second your dress was gorgeous. I now have my house to myself so i’m turning the smallest spare room into my sewing room and the ither big one into a guest/dressing room. I aquired 3 large solid clothes rails from work so 2 will go in the dressing room and the biggest one in my sewing room. The weather here has been awful and looks set to continue so.i just sit and sew in the evenings. I said to my family and friends if it was’nt for work i’d not be able to open the door because if my pile of projects lol. Ellens fabulous is’nt she ronnie lee x

This pattern is similar to an Ottobre pattern that i have used and I love it too. I am going to try this one though as it is more stream lined. Look forward to seeing all the others you are going to make. A great stash buster pattern!!!

I have almost as much scraps as i have fabric lol. Anything more than a few inches i hang onto?? It’s technically hoarding lol. Using it up.even a little bit gives me a new top and more space lol x

Mary, your top is great. I love the fabric. It looks great on you. And you have made my day (along with the sun on the snow we finally got). I was just studying this pattern, but not liking where the line went across the ‘girls’. I like the way it sits on you. So after I redo the hem on the shirt I’m finishing, this will be next. Thanks.
