Description

My thesis, The Digital Cage, was about taking the topic of internet overstimulation and discussing it using fashion/art wear. For more details on this project check out: https://www.jasongagnondesigns.com/graduate-thesis

This garment was made using digitally printed polyester canvas representing the eye tracking data of 12 college age participants. The fabric was then constructed into a completely zero waste garment, which was fun and challenging!

The poncho with a neoprene hood was created using a combination of zero waste and subtraction cutting methods. It can be changed at the back with two options using hidden hook and eyes. The center front has an invisible zipper that helps with donning/doffing.The poncho is featured on the jumpsuit developed for collection of garments.

The second to last image represents all thesis garments layered on top to create the “Finale” look. This represents the different tabs on an internet browser and how they can stack up on us. The final image is of the entire collection line for my thesis.
