The Safari Jacket

Burda jacket #105 from the October 2013 issue.
I needed a jacket with lots of pockets (the joy of being bag-less) and as soon as I opened this issue, I knew it was going to be the camo jacket. But as camouflage doesn’t go with about 95% of my wardrobe, I went with blue cotton gabardine.

That shade of blue is spectacular! It also really suits your coloring.

Imitiation is the best form of flattery, so I shall use that shade of blue for a cape I am working on!

Keep us posted with your other projects! I bet there is another winner in there!

Your jacket looks great on you. Nice to see it in a solid colour. Nice change on the front. (My daughter has requested I make her this jacket)

This is a great jacket and it looks really nice on you. I didn’t like the camouflage fabric and basically dismissed that pattern. Now you have created a new interest in it for me. I have some black denim needing a good jacket pattern and now I have found it!!
