New York, New Yo...

So I still have a whole heap of traditional Ankara fabric from West Africa so I wanted to make a cute dress in anticipation of those summer tea parties! So I made this high neck, open back dress. Business in front, party in the back!

The second image shows the dress worn backwards and pinned together I love multi-functional pieces!

Material Notes

More ethnic printed cotton

I love this, beautiful. I know it’s been a bit. Do you think you’ll ever put up pattern?

I didn’t use a pattern for this really- i just ‘free-handed’ a basic bodice and cut and pinned it to how i want it on the dress form… I think i’ll eventually take it apart and make pattern pieces then. :)
