another dress in my quest to make jersey dresses my new work uniform, rather than blouse-and-jeans. this is in some sort of heavy synthetic knit that i thrifted. the pattern is simplicity 3835. i was going to do the yoke but the neck, once gathered, was way too bulky. so no yoke. on the other hand, it’s so thick and fake it doesn’t wrinkle, not after a whole day of meetings and desk work. i usually pair this one with a merino cardigan that i have which is very boxy and just ties at the waist.

Material Notes

synthetic double knit

A quest! A quest to make jersey dresses your uniform? That is a noble quest. Jersey dresses are comfortable and feminine. This is a lovely piece you will be able to wear again and again. You can change the look with different coloured stockings, leggings, big jewelery pieces and even a different cardie, wrap and scarfie. Value! And, of course, lovely!

I love this, and I’m even happier to note that after Googling the pattern, I already have it!!

I love this – I’ve made 4 dresses from this pattern and never managed to sew the neck as per the pattern. It’s my favourite pattern for work or play. Will upload my photos this weekend. Love your version.
