The elusive white whale...

Added Nov 12, 2013

by bethmaryharley

Singapore, Singa...

My husband starting reading ‘Moby-Dick’ which reminded me I had some less scary white whales hanging out in my sewing room! I used Deer and Doe’s ‘Airelle’ pattern to make this shirt, slightly curving the collar to make it look gentler than the original angular one. I didn’t use contrasting colours for the cuffs and collar because the print is very busy, but I added some bright yellow piping to give a little more definition to the seam lines. Apologies for the crazy hair! If you’d like to read more, please visit my blog by clicking here

Thank you very much, Ellen! I think the pattern would be a little too smart for me without the jolly whales! ;-)
