This is a lovely and simple 50s style dress, but in stretchy fabric. The inside layer is a white stretch twill, fantastic quality, and breathable for both winter and summer. The top layer is a stretch black netting with the tiniest black dots. I am making sashes out of satin for these dresses, and the great thing is that you can use any colour, and my sister-in-law tells me it looks great with a thin belt too.

I am astoundingly proud of this dress, and hope to make some money off it. What do you think?

Great looking dress. I would be selling them. Love your dog too.

I really like how well these two fabrics go together.

thank you! yes, they somehow came together really well, giving the black a silvery sheen.

You should be proud. The styling is so retro and interesting. Even the dogs think so!

thanks! i’m making myself one in burgundy, pity i couldn’t find any more of it for sale. i’m hoping to find more of the black, and do a black under dress, but a bustier, and the bare netting over the chest area. i’m excited about that one.
