Description

Good afternoon, sewing lovers! Today I want to share with you one of my latest works. This model of pants attracted my attention back in 2012 when the September issue of Burda came out. For a long time, the magazine was lying aside, until the past few seasons this a flared model of pants again became popular. This is what prompted me to take decisive action, and I decided to implement this project. More about my inspiration you can read on the blog.

First of all, I turned to the site of Burda so that to see examples of works. But, as it turned out, while no one didn’t sew this model of pants. Therefore, as a pioneer, I will tell a little about all the advantages not only of sewing process but also of the model itself. Firstly, the flared cropped pants advantageously emphasize one of the most beautiful parts of the legs – the ankles. Secondly, these pants provide an opportunity to demonstrate shoes. And thirdly, you will not be hot in the summer in these pants, due to their length.
The pattern is very simple in sewing and I have not caused any difficulties. Everything was very easy and simple, so even a beginner can repeat all the steps. The only change I made was a one-piece waist belt instead of an elastic one. So, in my opinion, pants look much neater.

In the photos, my mom – is a happy owner of these pants. These photos we made on the Patriarch’s Ponds, which have recently become my favorite place for walking. More photos of not only the pants themselves but also the city you can see on my blog! I wish you all a good weekend, warm weather and excellent mood!

I love these pants and thanks for the reminder and the recommendation of pattern! I remember this collection but nothing caught my attention since I do not like sixties fashion that much, so I guess fabric choices drew my attention away! anyway I am going to check this pattern immediately cause I just love kick flares :) once more I repeat – I love your mum ’s style!

Maria, thank you very much for the pleasant words! My mom inspires me to new projects. And I, in turn, create cool things for her. It wears a small size of clothes, so things tailored sewing to order look better than those bought in the store.

They look very nice and this style is so in now, funny that Burda published these back in 2012… Like you, I had them in the back of my mind and wondered why nobody had made them yet. I’m glad to see they look so cool!

Thank you! I’m also surprised Burda guessed the cool trend in future. I watched fashion shows of the next season. Almost in all collections, there is this model of trousers. They are my favorites <3

I sew for myself but less than for my mom. In addition, I usually take photos. My mom does not use the camera. If my sister is not around, then I have no one to shoot :(
I want to take photos a couple of projects for myself this summer. I hope I have enough time.
