Description

Sequin Vest – Burdastyle 06/2010 #103, Halter Vest – Burdastyle 06/2010 #104

I found a lone scrap of semi-sheer groovy mellow-yellow material in my vintage remnants stash, and wanted to turn it into something (a greenie recently told me I appear to be practicing ‘sustainable sewing’; well I’m at least resourceful and frugal, lolz!) and I had just enough to make this easy unlined single-layer vest. It is sewn with french seams, and I used grey chiffon from the thrift store to bind the edges. Had to pin in place the entire binding to all edges, as the chiffon doesn’t hold folds/creases/iron well lol. Location: Parnell

Material Notes

’70s polyester-blend semi-sheer woven fabric in an acid yellow floral pattern, grey chiffon, orange craft ribbon for ties.
