Summer Plan :-)

My all-time sewing dream always was to make summer clothes in winter and winter clothes in summer. I wish I could do it at least once :-))
But this month it suddenly has happened on some unknown reason, I just told myself, I want to do it at last!-)
One of the items is this nice skirt because of which the issue was bought and fabric, as well, about the same time. The pattern is very nice and it’s pretty universal, it will be good for any time of year depending on the choice of fabric.
The skirt is very comfortable with great fitting of the yoke and wide pleated part. Very feminine silhouette that suits many of us.
On the pictures I’m wearing it with a self-knitted cropped jacket and with my new blouse. Both variants are pretty nice.
The jewelry was made by myself, too:-)

Material Notes

I used stretch cotton twill but only on the picture saw that back yoke seam a little stretched indeed. But I think while wearing it will be fine. My fabric is pretty dense, I’m going to wear the skirt in warm seasons so didn’t want it to be transparent and keep the pleats well. Besides, made it without lining for the yoke.

Lovely skirt! The whole ensemble looks so lovely! Your cardigan’s colour is so rich! The earrings tie everything together xx

I am not very good at wearing them! I am trying after decades of wearing trousers! I need to try and force myself!

      Thank you very much:-)
I like skirts, to tell the true, I wear trousers only for warmth or for extra comfort for trips or strolls. Maybe it’s not very modern to say that but wearing such outfits I feel myself like a real lady… even the walk changes:-))

I think you have truth in what you say. I haven’t worn hills for a long time and I am wearing them now. My posture is different!

Pleated skirts are my weakness and this one is fabulous! I also love your jacket and earings- you wear precious handmade items from head to toe!

Wow! You don’t stop to impress me! Fist of all; the skirt is perfect, even for wintertime! I love the knitted jacket and wish I could make something like that! The blouse is gorgeous too – and I love the flower fabric. You are just amazing – and the jewelry too!
