i made this in a day from one of my mothers old skirts she has had for years, and a denim skirt that i bought to cut up. the top is from a ‘sense and sensibility’ pattern and the skirt is from a different pattern.the belt is from the denim skirt, as are the belt loops.the zipper was taken from a different garment that i chopped up. :)

Garment Type
Cotton, Denim

umm….kinda. I think that I need to take the skirt sides in more and the top is a bit bunchy…. :P I might take it apart in a few months :) But apart from that, I like it. :)

I think the skirt is nice. But if you would prefer it in more go for it! Did you put darts in the bodice? I’ve had a mind blank so right now I’m thinking they are called darts. I’m glad you like something you’ve made, I’m yet to get there but I’m hoping I will asap!

Um…I think they are darts. Nope, I did pleats. The pattern called for gathering the fabric but because it is denim, and rather thicker than cotton, I decided to pleat it because it was a better overall look. :)
