Summer dress for Izzy

Added Jun 13, 2011

Springfield, Ten...

I finally got around to making the Oliver & S Popover Sundress. It was so quick and easy to make I wonder why I waited so long. I used the size 2 from the pattern and the only alterations I had to make was taking quite a bit off the length as my granddaughter is on the petite size. I plan on making several more for the summer and will make some of them into shorter tops to wear with her shorts and leggings.

Material Notes

Cotton from my stash.

Thank you very much! I am almost finished with another one but this time I made it into a shorter top for her to wear with capris. Will post as soon as I sew the binding on.

Thanks so much! That was a very sweet thing to say. I love sewing and if they benefit from it, so be it. And they look kind of cute in the process. I don’t sew enough for my grandson but not sure what I could sew except I am sure I will be making a lot of Halloween costumes in the future. Again thank you for the kind words, they really are encouraging.

Thank you tamezdc, it was so easy to make. Wish I had made her some last summer, but it’s not too late to make them this summer…lol. Happy Sewing!
