For a LARP, I needed a vintage dress, but not too fancy since I was playing the part of a very modest woman, so I used cotton instead of something more slippery. Silk would habe been nicer.

I used a Burda wedding dress pattern from 03/2008, but made it shorter and simplier. And added buttons to the front because this was way too sexy for the character.

I LOVE it. Really. The pattern is both vintage and cute, easy and quick to sew… I can’t wait to sew a more modern version that I’ll be able to wear all summer long (this one was perfect for the job, but the fabric isn’t what I prefer).

Looks beautiful!!! I love this pattern, I always wanted to try it but I was too lazy to adapt the pattern to shorter length. Looks really pretty with buttons on front, good job!

I love it too, this is a great dress! By coincidence, I just resumed working on my version of this dress (which is shorter) after a long break. Good idea to add buttons to the front slit, I might steal that idea for my own dress, because it is indeed quite revealing!
