Structural skirt and blouse in pastel blue

I loved the skirt pleat detail as soon as I saw the finished project in Burda style magazine.

It reminded me of Victoria Beckham and Carven type of structural clothing, with volume and shape of its own.

The pleats are relatively easy to make, although time consuming, however the effect is great.

I also found a relatively similar fabric, and a stiff material is a must to show off the pleats.

Thank you. I really struggle to find the name of that fabric. Looks and feels like a brocade, but it is a lot lighter !!

Thank you so much, kihli. I initially wanted to accessorise it with sky blue beads, but the impact is not the same!!
