So Creamy

Had a funeral to attend…so I found this cream knit fabric and made a dress. Style is self drafted. I use a basic bodice sloper for correct sizing. The top as bust darts and a asymmetrical pleated flounce on the top right. The skirt as four pleats….two at the front and two at the back and a pocket for functionality. Invisible zip at the back.

Extremely pleased how the style turned out and how the overall look came together nicely.

Material Notes

2 yd Knit

Spring, Summer
Garment Type
Evening Wear, Other

I just wanted to add, the amount of fabric you used for the skirt ( and, indeed, the creasing) is just right. More crease would have made the dress too girlish. It is perfect just as it is, elegant and flattering. Obviously, dead straight would have been too dull. Clever!

This is really fab for self drafting. Wow, you should put together a small tutorial for the frill detail. Just fab!
