Silk Vest in less than 1 hour!

Los Angeles, Cal...

Casual, Romantic, Elegant is the inspiration for this silk vest I made. Using neutral nude with faded denim blue color. I love the light and airy touch and feel of this delicate silk chiffon jacquard fabric I used. The sheer and drapiness of the the silk chiffon gives a real feminine touch to wear with faded denim pants. This vest looks fancy and difficult to make but you’ll be surprised how simple and easy of a project it is. All you need is a little bit of fabric and a sewing machine to stitch and finish the hem all around. Follow the simple step by step instructions with diagram.

I love this idea! Thank you! I have a couple pashmina-esk scarves that are beautiful and I love but I don’t wear. This is a fabulous idea for preserving everything lovely about them and not damaging any part of the delicate weaving. I am SOOOOO going to try this!

I just tried pinning my pashmina to see how it worked, sadly it did not, the pashmina is not quite long enough and a bit too stiff/heavy. But you have inspired me to keep trying to find a way! Thank you so much for sharing your idea, I really love it! So simply and yet it is that finishing touch that many outfits need!

As long as you have big enough fabric there are some kaftan or poncho type styles that do not need much alteration to create a new look. Good luck!
