Added Feb 22, 2012

Amsterdam, Nethe...

I got myself a ukulele with a very flimsy case. I decided to create a more stylish and sturdy one from scratch. The outside is waterproofed thick black cotton. Than a 1 cm thick foam layer and a silk interior.

Material Notes

Cotton, silk, foam

Garment Type
Cotton, Denim, Satin, Silk, Velvet

Wow! That’s amazing! I wouldn’t know where to begin if making a bag like this. Great craftsmanship. Your bag is pretty sazzy!

thanks, I discovered that working with foam is pretty easy, if you have enough foam and don’t mind throwing badly cut pieces away. If you look carefully the foam photo is full of pins. I used the foam to find the correct shape and size of the case and created a pattern out of the foam.
