Shorts for my Dad

Added Jul 30, 2012

This was like reconstruction or replica sewing. My Dad had this very old shorts made by my Mom in 90s. And he loved them, but he put on weight a little bit so he couldn’t wear them any more. We disassembled them and I made pattern from them, enlarged them and made almost identical shorts. I hope he will like them.

Yes, from laughter :D Sorry, I’m joking of course :) But when I send them to him it was too big! Finally I altered it and it’s all good now.

Indeed, they’re very short :). In the city I leave, men don’t wear such short shorts, but in the small town in the mountains, where my father lives – it’s normal.

these are great! I like the piping/trim—it’s the perfect amount of embellishment for men’s shorts. Great job!

Thank you. It’s not classic pipping, it’s just cotton tape. In fact harder to use that pipping, as you need to be very careful to leave equal width of it on the right side all around the short :)
